To memorise a section of work you should first preview the work by scanning through it to gain an estimate of the content.

Next, formulate questions for yourself on the work. These are questions that you feel should be answerable after you have read the work. Now read the work with all your attention and concentration.

State the work to yourself by summarising the main points.

Lastly, test your knowledge by answering the questions that you formulated for yourself.
