Alzheimer's

It is uncommon, but sometimes a patient with Alzheimer’s disease may be involved in a crime. This can involve shoplifting or minor assaults.

The presence of Alzheimer’s disease can be used as an argument for a more lenient sentence and sometimes acquittal. This situation should be discussed with a lawyer and psychiatrist.
