Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a degenerative condition that affects specific aspects of motor functioning and is also associated with progressive cognitive impairment.
Eye movement is affected and people may see double and experience difficulty looking upwards. During the course of the illness, profound rigidity develops. Difficulties with swallowing and speech difficulties also develop.
