Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is a dementia condition which consists of fluctuating cognitive impairment, Parkinson-like symptoms and hallucinations (usually visual).
People with DLB are extremely sensitive to antipsychotics (also known as neuroleptics). These medications should be avoided.

Cholinesterase inhibitors (ChE-I) are the treatment of choice. ChE-I will improve cognitive functions and often also behavioural disturbances.
