Avoid the following foods: fruit juices and dried fruit, which are treated with sulphur dioxide to prevent oxidation; “droëwors” and “boerewors”, both of which are also preserved with sulphur; beer and wine; pickles; certain sauces; and hamburger patties. Make a point of reading food labels to check for these additives.
