The first step is to rule out parasites – deflea and deworm all your pets and also treat the home environment (fumigate the house and put a flea collar inside your vacuum cleaner bag); if the allergy continues, inform your vet about all aspects of your pet's life – habits, diet, and daily routine; your vet may prescribe a specific diet for your pet – make a point of sticking to it (so, no table scraps); it might also help to switch to a new brand of food or to a different type of protein (e.g. switch from fish to chicken, for example).
