The human being's primary source of bone-building calcium is milk. Unfortunately, many people suffer either from lactose intolerance or are sensitive to one or more of the proteins found in milk.

Take action:
If you are allergic or intolerant to milk and dairy products, try eating yoghurt or buttermilk in small quantities to see if you react. If not, then you can replace your milk intake with yoghurt or buttermilk. If, however, you do react, speak to your doctor or pharmacist about taking a good calcium supplement.
