Your child wakes you up in the middle of the night with a throbbing toothache. What can you do to ease the pain?
Take action:
Gently clean the area near the tooth with a toothbrush and use dental floss to dislodge trapped food; don't place aspirin on the tooth or gum; if your child's face is swollen, apply a cold compress; give your child an over-the-counter pain reliever; get to the dentist as soon as possible.
