Feet - FAQ
Which foot problems are the most common?
Last updated: Tuesday, November 06, 2007
About three-quarters of all people will experience some foot problems during their lives. This is not surprising, as feet carry tons of weight around during every normal day.

Corns and calluses are very common, as are ingrown toenails, foot infections and ankle fractures, strains and sprains.

Feet that are enlcosed in shoes can be prone to fungal infections, and certain fashionable shoes, such as high heels, can cause a variety of foot problems. Any shoes that don't fit properly, can lead to foot problems, such as blisters, corns, calluses and bunions. The latter could require surgery to correct.

Foot ulcers of any kind can be very dangerous to diabetics.

Choosing the correct shoes is vital to foot health throughout life. Comfort should take precedence over high fashion.
