Backache - Health tips
Centrum tip – Be back alert
Last updated: Wednesday, January 16, 2008
Most people just take their backs for granted – until they start playing up, that is. Nothing is quite as incapacitating as a severe backache. Or as painful.

Take action:
Poor posture puts unnecessary strain on your spine – sit and stand up straight, but maintain the natural S-curve of the spine; avoid twisting and bending your back; avoid staying in one position for hours at a time; exercise regularly; do exercises, specifically targeted at your back – these will help to ease back pain and will improve back function; sleep on a supportive mattress and pillow; and have your spine checked regularly to ensure you maintain optimal spinal health.
