Take action:
Walk for at least two hours per week at an easy pace of about 10-14 minutes per kilometer. The more walking you do, the healthier your cardiovascular system is, which appears to promote brain function and improve memory ability. Walking for six hours a week is most beneficial.

Walking for two hours a week not only slows dementia, but boosts normal brain function as well, two new studies have found. Participants who walked less than 400 m a day were more than twice as likely to develop dementia as those who walked more than 3,2 km per day.
