British actor and children's author David Walliams made quite a splash at the Franschhoek Literary Festival, which took place from 17 to 19 May.

Walliams' programme was packed while he was in South Africa; he appeared at a school and had three speaking slots during the festival.

He still had time to take in South Africa's beauty and enjoy the country.
