A series of three workshops will be held at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa to help runners prepare for this year's Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon.
The workshop series, themed 'Dream it - Do it', aims to help runners make their dreams become a reality as they prepare for the 2006 event.

What you can expect
Speakers include Old Mutual World of Endurance Virtual Coach, Dave Spence, who will give training advice on both the half and ultra marathon; Two Oceans and Comrades gold medallist, Farwa Mentoor, who will share some of her running experiences, and sports psychologist Dr Helgo Schomer, who provides practical advice in a highly entertaining way.
According to Race Director Chet Sainsbury, the series of workshops will be held in Cape Town and Johannesburg, with an additional workshop planned for Durban in 2006. "The response we have had from runners at our past workshops has been tremendous and the new series promises to be even better. It gives you a great feeling to know that you are passing on your experience and knowledge and helping runners to achieve their goals."
"Completing what is often described as the world's most beautiful marathon, is an incredible feat. It is something I would recommend to anyone and is a life experience of which you will always be proud," says Professor Tim Noakes, who will be a guest speaker at the second workshop.
