As more and more runners fall victim to road accidents due to poor runner visibility, particularly in the early mornings and evenings, the need for runners to literally ‘light themselves up’ when running their road routes is critical.

The first runner’s safety ‘Be Seen Be Safe’ campaign directed specifically at addressing this issue at retail level was launched earlier this year by Dis-Chem Pharmacies.
The campaign centers on imported clip-on arm and leg bands which light-up giving luminous visibility and a ‘glowing presence’ to runners on roads. It is being endorsed by three times Comrades winner and six times Comrades gold medalist, Vladimir Kotov.
