Habana, who has great speed, pace and flair, is one of the up-and-coming young stars of South African rugby. Springbok coach Jake White considers him a certain choice for the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

Habana marked his first international start on 27 November in the test against Scotland with two breakaway tries in the first half of the game - this added to his previous try for South Africa in the test against England.
Allister Coetzee, Springbok backline coach, says of Habana and fellow wing Jaque Fourie: "There is not a lot one can do to counter speed, enthusiasm and an enterprising spirit, as well as the ability to pop up anywhere on the field. Bryan and Jaque do not just give us an edge on the wing, but because of their youthfulness, they are adventurous and highly unpredictable."
