Gcobani Bobo
South Africa's first Rastafarian professional rugby player has earned a reputation over the past two seasons as a creative inside centre and physical defender. Bobo is a natural leader and was the first black captain of any South African national team when he led the Under-17 and Under-19 sides in the mid-nineties.

Previous injuries: He scored a hat-trick on his Vodacom Super 12 debut against the Bulls in 2002 and was expected to be up for Springbok selection in that year but a serious knee injury forced him out for the rest of the season. He then tore knee ligaments, including the anterior cruciate ligament, in the Springboks 2003 World Cup warm-up match against Free State, and has spent most of the year out of play.
