Golf is often touted as a good way to get some exercise, enjoy a beautiful summer day and have some fun. But, as with any sport, players need to be careful to avoid injury.
Take action:
Stretch at least three times a week, paying particular attention to your shoulders, back and arms; warm-up for at least 10-15 minutes before you hit the greens; take lessons good technique will help protect you against injuries; wear good shoes, socks, clothing and gloves; watch for problems and treat them quickly; use the PRICE (protection, rest, ice, compression and elevation) method to treat more serious problems; and see a doctor if a problem persists.
