MUSCLES WORKED: Abductors
 

Stand in an upright position with feet together.

Maintain your balance by holding onto the back of a chair with your right hand. Place your left hand on your hip.

Raise your left leg in an outward motion as far as possible.

Hold for 5 seconds and return slowly to the starting position. Repeat until you have completed a set.

Change sides, and repeat with the right leg.

- Keep your back straight as you raise your leg. Your head, spine and the stationary leg should be aligned.

- Keep your abdominal muscles taut.
