Engela Swanepoel has not looked back since starting the Body for Life Programme and has lost 4kg's and 6% body fat on it.
"I had reached a plateau after going to gym for about two years and not seeing any results. A friend of mine gave me the Body-for-life book and suggested I followed it. I read it that same day and decided to start immediately!" she said.
She said she was encouraged and inspired by the before and after photos of all the participants and described it as 'mind-blowing!'

"The thing that intrigued me the most was the approach of having the "mindset to succeed". Also, the author of the book suggested that if you've managed to succeed at losing weight you will succeed at anything you set your mind to.
"This is indeed very true and losing the weight gave me the confidence I needed to succeed in other areas of my life," she said.
'Anything is possible'
So how did she stay so motivated throughout the 84 day challenge?
"It wasn't always easy but every time I had a craving for something sinful I just kept telling myself that nothing would taste as good as being in the best shape of my life."
Three months later Engela has the body she has always wanted and has learned a few things along the way too: "Something I've learned is that anything is possible and that if you can dream it, you can achieve it! I've recently enrolled for my National Certificate in fitness and in a years time I'll be a qualified personal trainer.
"I've found my passion and the ingredients to a successful journey through life."
