Who is our Sports Injury Doc?
Peter Wisniewski, Health24's new Sports Injury Doc, was born in Zambia and qualified as a medical doctor at the University of Witwatersrand in 1991.

He studied Sports Medicine at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, London in 1993-1994.

Dr Wisniewski has worked in several countries, including South Africa, Zambia and the UK.

From 1997-2005, he worked in general practice in Midrand. His main focus is on sports injuries. He has also assisted at multiple sporting events including motor racing, football, karate world championships and rugby.

He has now relocated to Cape Town and is working in general practice in Camps Bay. He is married with two children. In his spare time, he plays backgammon, and enjoys travel, writing, tennis and wine.
