| Dr Peter van der Meulen qualified as a prosthodontist in 1988 from the University of Pretoria. By virtue of academic excellence, he received the Dean's Award for Academic Distinction and an Academic Honours Colours Award in 1989.
Dr Van der Meulen has recently been awarded an International Nobel Biocare Creative Circle Award (3rd place winner). He also recently acted as a Nobel Biocare Mentor (2005) and a Teeth-In-An-Hour: Prelaunch Team Member (2004-2005).
Positions held, include: President of the Academy of Prosthodontics of South Africa and the South African Society for Dental Implantology; Past President of the Academy of Prosthodontics of South Africa and the South African Society for Dental Implantology; Founder Member of the State of the Art Dental Study Group; Specialist Member of the State of the Art Dental Study Group; and Prosthodontic Representative on the South African Society for Dental Implantology.
