| Dr Imraan Hoosen qualified from the Medical University of South Africa in 1997. After working for 18 months in a group practice in Johannesburg, he opened a private practice at the Lesedi Private Hospital in Soweto in 1999.
Dr Hoosen has won a number of awards upon qualification including the South African Dental Association medal for best graduate in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery (1998), Endodontics (1998) and the Department of Health Certificate for the Best Student in Community Dentistry (1998).
He has also completed a two-year postgraduate diploma from the University of Stellenbosch in Forensic Dentistry.
Together with his partner, Dr Hoosen now runs a group of dental practices around Johannesburg (Johannesburg International Airport Clinic, Lesedi Clinic, Brenthurst Clinic, Parklane Clinic, Simmonds Street Medical and Dental Centre, Soni Medical Centre- Newclare).
