 Dr Reg Engelbrecht
Educated in South Africa, qualified as a Doctor of Chiropractic in the United States and has practised in South Africa for the past 38 years. He has taken a leading role in the legal recognition of Chiropractic in South Africa and has further been instrumental in the establishment of Chiropractic training institutes in this country.
He has served on the statutory council (Allied Health Professions Council) as Vice-Chairman and Chairman of Education over a period of 15 years. He has served on the Council of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa for many years and is presently the Chief Executive Officer of the association.
As a private practitioner he has been exposed to a great variety of spinal health problems and regularly features in the media on behalf of the profession with advice and suggestions on better back care. He further believes that all health disciplines can better serve their patients if they learn more about each other and the different approaches to specific problems. This is especially true of back-related disorders.
This forum is conducted under the auspices of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa.
