Who is the ADHD specialist?
Dr Peter Velloza, a medical Doctor as well as General Manager of Dore South Africa. Velloza holds a Master of Science degree in Sports Science as well as MB Chem.

He has been a board member of Sandton-Medi Clinic and is currently a member of, Medical Protection society, Medical practitioners (HPC_SA), General Medical Council (UK) South African Sports Medicine Association (SASMA) and South African Travel Medicine (SASTM)

Background
Dr Velloza’s quest for information on learning disorders began more than ten years ago when he was formally introduced to the Dore program through the world renowned UK industrialist Wynford Dore. Wynford started the Dore program to help his dyslexic daughter when she tried to commit suicide for a third time.

Love and concern for his daughter saw Wynford sell a multi-million pound business and plough his fortunes into research that eventually led to the formation of the specialized program. He went on to write a book Dyslexia, The Miracle Cure about the journey that brought his daughter back to him.

Dr Velloza was captivated by all he learned from Wynford, and he saw a need to come back to South Africa and equip other parents in similar situations to deal with learning difficulties like ADHD,ADD, Dyspraxia, and Dyslexia - amongst others - using his understanding of how “wiring” or chemistry of the brain works.

His passion to help others emanates from all the years he spent in dealing with trauma victims. Dr Velloza has worked with children and adults with learning disabilities as well as their parents and teachers, and has conducted numerous development and parent workshops for those interested in improving instructional services for children and adults with learning disabilities.
