"I usually buy a packet of popcorn in the morning and snack on it throughout the day (between meals, of course)."

Popcorn is one of those fantastic snacks that is still a healthy option, despite the fact that it conjures up wonderful images of childhood parties, fêtes and outings to the movies (occasions one would expect to associate with all things decadent). So, well done!
Suggestion:
Note, however, that the preparation of popcorn is important.
Try to microwave your popcorn or cook it in a small amount of vegetable oil (just enough to cover the pot). And use just a little bit of salt.
This will ensure a low-fat, almost fat-free snack, which also has a favourable effect on blood sugar levels as it has an intermediate to low glycaemic index (moderate to slow release). It will hopefully stave off any potential cravings you might experience in the mid-afternoon as it is also relatively filling.
Always remember to read labels for commercially made popcorn (low fat = < 3 g/100 g) as these may be deceivingly high in fat. Commercial products usually also have a high salt content (low sodium = 120 mg per 100 g) as well as various additives such as flavourants.
Add a fruit or some raw vegetable sticks to boost the nutritional value of the snack.
