Detox over a weekend when you'll be able to get plenty of rest; increase your fluid intake to 1,5 - 2 litres per day stick to plain or sparkling water and rooibos tea; satisfy your appetite with fruit smoothies (apples, pineapple, pawpaw, grapes, mango, plums and guavas are good choices just add ice cubes and a dollop of honey); also snack on fresh, raw, unpeeled fruits and veggies, wholewheat bread, high-bran cereal, oats, brown rice and wholewheat crackers; avoid all stimulants, e.g. coffee, alcohol and cigarettes; cut out fat, sugar and salt; don't detox for more than two days; don't detox if you suffer from any illness; and don't take any laxatives or herbal products that could interfere with your bowel or kidney function.
