Liezel phoned because the one hearing aid was continually making a whistling sound.
We checked a few basic things: we made sure that there wasn’t any wax blocking the ear canal, or obstructing the opening of the earmould. We made sure that the earmould tubing wasn’t cracked.

When all these checks turned out okay, we knew it was time to have new earmoulds made.
Liezl took Denise to her audiologist in Potchefstroom, who took impressions of her ears and sent them to our lab. She brought them along to our next appointment.
