The IEC has issued a statement confirming that the Zimbabwean governing party, Zanu-PF, has not been accredited to observe the upcoming national and provincial elections.

This comes after the African Transformation Movement (ATM) wrote a letter to the Electoral Commission of SA (IEC), expressing concerns about Zanu-PF participating as observers in South Africa's upcoming elections.

The party, known for its firm stance against illegal migration, pointed to Zimbabwe's history of electoral malpractice and voter fraud, warning that it could undermine the legitimacy of South Africa's electoral process.
