NEWS

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU), with the assistance of the Hawks, raided several home affairs offices in five provinces on Friday morning.

The raid, which was aimed at collecting evidence of an ongoing criminal investigation, targeted the home affairs head office in Pretoria, offices in Centurion, Marabastad (the Desmond Tutu Refugee Centre) and refugee reception centres in Limpopo, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
