The internet is a great research tool. But what if you find your children are browsing pornography sites instead of doing their homework?
Take action:
Don't overreact – bear in mind that most kids come across internet pornography sites accidentally; talk to your kids about safe online use, e.g. point out the dangers of internet chatrooms and talk to them about keeping e-mail addresses private; make sure your home e-mail service has a very good spam filter – this will prevent pornography spam from reaching your inbox; consider filtering software – this will help delay initial exposure; and keep the communication lines open between you and your kids.
