Holiday cheer into New Year

Hi everyone, it has been quite a while!

I can't believe that Christmas and New Year are already over and it's back to the grindstone, but I had a really good time during my month off - lots of parties, good food and great people.

We had a fantastic Christmas day up at my folks’ place like we do every year - there were about 25 of us and, like always, my mom cooked the best lunch ever.

We had roast chicken, lamb, beef, gammon, veggie bakes, baked potatoes and, to top it all off, about 10 different desserts - hence I still have a bit of a Christmas butt that I need to get back into the gym.

I haven't been to gym in about a month and I can definitely feel it both physically and mentally, but tomorrow I start training with Tom again, so hopefully it won’t take too long to get back into the swing of things – actually, I can't wait!

New Years Eve was great - we attended a house party at the Kerzners which was extravagant, to say the least. They had a huge marquee tent up with chefs cooking the best food you've ever tasted, waiters serving only the best champagne, synchronized swimmers in the pool, women dressed up as mermaids sitting in huge clam shells blowing bubbles over the guests and the craziest laser show when the clock struck 12.

I must say that they really know how to throw a great party. It took me at least 3 days and a case of Aqua Bimini to recover from that!

Then, to end the holiday off, my family and I went camping in the Cedarberg as we do every year. That place is just so relaxing. All you do is lie around in the sun working on your tan, play cards, swim, eat and that's about it.

There's no TV and no cellphone reception, so you can really just get away from the world. Marc and I spent 5 days there and then Marc treated me to 2 nights at the new Clanwilliam Lodge which is about a half an hour drive from the Cederberg - just to pamper ourselves a bit. Spoilt girl, I know.

So, after all of that, it's time to get back to work and start the countdown to the next holiday. I want to work really hard so that Marc and I can spoil ourselves with a trip to Thailand in July, but we'll see how the modelling season goes and take it from there.

I’ll put up a few pics from the holiday and will keep you updated with what’s happening from here on out.

Till then - stay happy, healthy and keep on drinking your Aqua Bimini.

Ciao,
Trace
