Well, it’s been a while since I wrote! Things have been pretty hectic at home - they say that when it rains, it pours, and the saying is so true.
Amongst other things, someone hacked into my computer and credit card! The most important lesson I’ve learnt through this difficult month is to keep focusing on the positive things, such as a happy environment and staying healthy.
It’s difficult to do when things don’t seem to be going your way, but those hard times certainly build character. Looking UP, believing and hoping are the things that help you to keep on getting better.
Along with the rest, Joost and I have kept up with our personal training sessions and they’re going very well. We have an ongoing bet as to who will have the best abs at the end of August! I’ve lost some body fat, picked up muscle and it’s a great inspiration to see how my body is changing. Joost looks fantastic! We’re also still drinking our water every day – it’s become a part of our lifestyle.
Last, but certainly not least: Joost was hijacked last week at gunpoint.
Believe me, it changes the way one looks at life. You realize that you need to live every moment – making the most of each day, living it, and loving the people near to you. We can make plans for the future, save money, forget to do things and say we’ll do them tomorrow, but it can all be taken away so easily.
Whilst it’s great to look out for the future, we must NOT forget the present. We all hurry through life, like it’s a race, often forgetting the people we love so dearly.
“Don’t let anyone hold your happiness in their hands, hold it in yours, so it will always be within your reach.”
“Feeling good about yourself is essential to feeling good about life…”
Till next week
