July is normally a depressing month for me because of the cold. I always seem to catch the flu during this time, (which I have once again), but surprisingly, I’m still training and my fitness levels are up. It’s probably thanks to aqua bimini!
I love the personal training sessions. For example, after 1 and a half weeks training, I’m now doing 100 sit ups as part of one set of stomach exercises – having started off with only 25. Boxing is also included as a part of my training and I find it tough, energizing and fun. I’ve found new respect for boxers!
I thought that dancing all my life and performing on stage each week had kept me fit, but wow, your body gets used to a certain fitness level - challenging the body and the mind is what it’s all about. It’s great to see how exercising changes ones’ body for the better.
I’m eating healthier now than before, but I must say it’s tough, especially when running after kids, doing home admin and working all at the same time. You really have to prioritize and plan ahead. Its true - a healthy body does lead to a healthy mind.
On a personal note, I’m sourcing new songs for my new album to be recorded at the end of the year, it’s due for release early next year. Joost and I are also repainting the exterior of our home and spring cleaning the study, which always seems to be in disarray.
Elmarie (the skin specialist) at the Montrose Clinic introduced me to the Filorga skin care range. It’s fantastic, especially the day and night creams and the sunblock. Purelogical also supply me with collagen supplements daily to keep my skin looking radiant. Thanks a million.
I love challenges, and the “aqua bimini challenge” is just what I needed at this time in my life. I’ve realized: being, and staying healthy, should be part of your lifestyle.
