Radio KFM hosted an interview on breast cancer with Dr Apfelstadt and I in Cape Town. As always, we did not have enough time to cover everything, but at least we got the message across.
I flew up to Johannesburg to do a talk for the Revlon staff on breast cancer. Revlon have been wonderful, slotting breast cancer messages in on their cosmetic ads this month.
Has anyone spotted the billboards in JHB carrying the breast cancer message? Readers, these billboards were all sponsored by Revlon and Ad Outpost! These companies have been so willing to assist the campaign and it gives me great pleasure to be involved with such positive people.
Once again, I learned during chats with Revlon staff in Isando and Elandsfontein, that people think breast cancer is a "white womens disease". Please do not be fooled by this - it can happen to any race, age or colour.
Kyknet-Kwela invited me also to come into the studio for a live interview with Coenie de Villiers on Kwela. Thank you, Kwela, for helping to spread the word and maybe save a life.
As you can all imagine, though there has been no time for exercise during this hectic month, I managed to play tennis with the kids on Saturday mornings, I and have had my AQUA BIMINI handy!
Have a smiling week!
Wilma
