From bug-chasing to denial
Bug-chasers actively seek out HIV infection. And some others simply live in denial.
Modern miracles
Aspirin, contraceptives, e-mail, soap, dentists. 200 years ago none of these existed.

Reality flight

It feels quite mad to sit here and try to remember what I have done for the last two weeks.

Since my plane touched down yesterday, I have been playing catch-up in my life. I have just returned from a much needed holiday in Phuket, Thailand.

The week prior to my trip - or flight from reality! - was intense. I had loads of meetings with contractors and clients in regards to Kia Ora, my Camps Bay beach villa. The villa is in demand and needs a lot of attention from Miss Perfectionist. I love being hands-on and it is a pleasure to see my guests happy!

I was also spoiled with yet another fabulous chef’s night, and it has become somewhat of a monthly social event. Yet again, Paul outdid himself: the dishes he prepares are top class. I would love to have just 10% of their talent in the kitchen, never mind the passion.

My energy levels are almost back to normal since my holiday. It was a dream come true: coconut trees and Pina Coladas while lounging at the pool. We went swimming every day, and I loved racing around on jet skis too. We went island-hopping one day on a speed boat, and the snorkelling was magnificent.

I even gave the shops a miss and that is saying a lot from a true shopaholic!

Ciao for now!

Tanya
