Wine, snacks and telling stories

I returned to the “big brother house” in Provence where the photo team stayed, to a warm welcome from my English clients, and from Marie Teresa, the chef at the villa.

Since my last trip there about six weeks ago, the weather has been bliss and the garden at the estate in full bloom. I walked into “my” bedroom as if I had never left, and even found some of the things I had left there in May! I had such good intentions to continue exercising each night after the shoot but…

This time around, the lovely days and wonderful evenings put the team in a lazy, euphoric mood. We sat on the terrace each evening with wine and snacks discussing the day’s work, and telling stories. Marie Teresa outdid herself in preparing the most tempting dishes each night, and eventually I threw the towel in and joined the feast!

Her menu included a variety of homemade pies, tarts and baked goodies. Followed by cheese platters and French bread. Hardly a green salad leaf in sight! As wonderful as the trip has been, I have never looked forward so much to returning home just to see if I still fit into my jeans (kidding!)

As the saying goes…

C’est la vie!
