Health24 is South Africa's leading health and lifestyle website. In November 2000, a majority stake in the company was sold to Media24 (a leading publishing company in the Naspers Group, Africa's leading media & publishing company (www.naspers.com).

EDITORIAL

Health24 content is educational, relevant, and medically reviewed. The aim of the editorial is to enable readers to make informed decisions about their health.

The site covers a wide range of topics, such as in-depth information on common medical conditions, diet, fitness, pregnancy, parenting, men's and women's health. It is continually being updated by a team of medical specialists and journalists.

Bustling Ask-an-Expert forums (featuring over 40 experts) and some brilliant interactive tools provide a dynamic user experience.

Health24 is HON code-accredited, an international grading awarded to quality online health services.

THE HEALTH24 COMMUNITY

Each month, more than half a million individual people visit Health24.

In addition to its own audience, Health24 is the exclusive health partner to the following major SA portals: 24.com, News24, MWEB and Ananzi. The result is that the majority of online South Africans use Health24 as their destination for health information.

Nearly three-quarters of Health24's community is in the 25 – 49 year age group, and 70% are women. Just over half are parents, and they fall into the LSM 7 – 10 group.

A user survey in 2006 indicated that 77% of Health24 readers consult the internet before visiting a health professional.
