Hot flushes are one of the most bothersome and common symptoms of menopause, occurring in as many as 75 percent of menopausal women. Fortunately, there are a few solutions.
Take action:
Discuss your discomfort with your gynaecologist there are many good treatment options available; keep your home and workplace cool; wear loose clothing in layers that are easily removed; drink plenty of water; avoid caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods if they bring on hot flushes; exercise regularly; and avoid confined spaces and hot, humid weather.
