Control your anger

accreditation
If someone cuts in front of you on the road, do you lose it completely? If you suffer from frequent, uncontrollable outbursts of aggression, frustration and anger, these tips might help.

Take action:
Step away – sometimes the best way to release anger is to physically remove yourself from the cause; take a deep breath – slow things down and take a moment to compose yourself; spit it out – talk about your feelings before they reach unmanageable levels; exercise regularly – this helps to subdue an angry mood; harness your anger – when you feel the rage in you reaching crisis levels, go and chop some firewood, paint the garage or plant a tree in the garden; if none of these tips work for you, seek professional help from a psychologist or counsellor.
