Premature ejaculation: are you a one-minute man?

Premature ejaculation is no laughing matter, and it can be a real blow to the male ego. It’s also been the ruin of many a relationship.

But it doesn’t have to be.

Experts believe that premature ejaculation is usually caused by too much stimulation or performance anxiety.

However, guilt and other psychological factors have also been cited as contributing factors.

Premature ejaculation may, for instance, stem from a first sexual experience, where there was an enormous amount of pressure to perform. This can cause a feeling of inadequacy that can manifest again as performance anxiety, causing the problem to escalate. This may result in years of feeling inadequate and frustrated. In fact, some men go through their whole lives never really experiencing control of their ejaculation.

You’ll be pleased to know, however, that the condition usually improves without treatment.

A few tips
Here are some tips on how to point without shooting too soon:

The chicken-choker
Masturbate more, and learn to relax while you’re doing it. Guys often associate masturbation with a quick release, but regular and prolonged masturbation can help you get over your early ejaculation.

The stop-start
Stimulate yourself until you near orgasm; then stop for about 30 seconds and start again. Repeat until you can’t control the urge to ejaculate.

The big squeeze
Sexually stimulate yourself until you’re about to ejaculate. Now, gently squeeze the end of your penis (where the head meets the shaft) for several seconds. Halt stimulation for about 30 seconds and then start again. Repeat this pattern until you want to ejaculate.

The game-changer
Change sex positions. The missionary (man on top) has been most linked to early ejaculation – muscular tension is increased as you support your weight with your arms and core strength. Try having your partner on top, or opt for other interesting and fun sex positions.

REMEMBER: Talking about the problem with your partner is the first step. Plus, the recommended steps are always more fun if you ask your partner to help you with it.
