The Harry Benjamin standards

The Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association has drawn up Standards of Care.

These standards outline the association's recommended psychiatric, psychological, medical, and surgical management of transgendered people.

They see the general goal of psychotherapeutic, endocrine or surgical therapy as providing lasting personal comfort in order to maximise overall well-being and functioning.
