What does orgasm mean to you?

Sexual satisfaction is not only a physical thing, it also has various meaningful aspects and could even improve your health.

A close friend once told me that she reaches climax in the first few seconds she and her partner become intimate. At first, I was jealous and convinced myself that she was lying.

I mean, every single time? Sounds quite impossible since penetrative orgasms are few and far between for us average women.

Noticing my deep-in-thought frown lines, she giggled and said: “No silly. Orgasm to me is when my partner satisfies my emotional needs. Also, if he considers whether I am satisfied during our sexual escapade, it’s a double orgasm for me. I don’t have to physically ‘come’, I find my release in our closeness.”

Hmmm. This got me thinking. Although my friend can be quite overly dramatic with her Yoda-like explanations, she had a point.

Then, as fate would have it, I stumbled across this interesting article.

According to Huffington Post Women, a study was done which asked women what sexual satisfaction means to them.

499 women and 311 men in committed relationships were asked how they define sexual satisfaction.

Their responses where sorted out in categories ranging from personal wellbeing to physical intimacy.

However, what really caught my eye was when Huffington Post Women actually asked 9 of their readers what sexual satisfaction means to them.

One of their readers said her idea of sexual satisfaction is not necessarily the sexual act itself, but what happens before the deed and how that makes her feel. She also says the foreplay needs to be nothing short of “amazing” or it will feel like a “chore”.

Another reader defined sexual satisfaction as a connection between herself and the person she’s with. Passion and emotional compatibility also play a huge part for her.

Now, we want to know how you define the ultimate sexual experience that leads to your sexual satisfaction.
