Oysters an aphrodisiac after all

Need to spice up your love life? Seduce your partner with a delicacy from the sea. A new study by American and Italian researchers claims that oysters, clams and mussels are good aphrodisiacs after all. The researchers say these foods contain compounds that have been shown to be effective in releasing sexual hormones such as testosterone and oestrogen.

Take action:
Include at least a 1/4 cup of mussels or four medium-sized oysters or clams in your diet every week – and remember to enjoy the treat with your partner. But beware of red tide warnings – bivalve shellfish can be extremely poisonous when it originates from affected areas.
