First solids: good foods to try

Are you starting your baby on solids? Here is a list of good foods to try.

  • Rice cereals
  • Oat cereals
  • Sweet potato
  • Squash
  • Avocado
  • Carrots
  • Parsnips
  • Green beans
  • Potato
  • Baby marrows
  • Peas
  • Apple purée
  • Plain Bulgarian yoghurt with AB cultures
  • Peaches
  • Pears
  • Bananas
  • Mangoes

Meat and poultry should be introduced when your child is seven months or older.
