No matter how well you try to hide things, kids always manage to get their hands on them. To make matters worse, most children will eat and drink almost anything that looks remotely edible. How can you prevent a disaster with regards to your medicine cabinet?
Take action:
Keep medicine out of reach – in other words don't leave your tablets lying on your bedside table, in the bathroom or in your bag where children can easily find them; keep medicine cabinets locked at all times; only use original containers – most containers come with a childproof cap; don’t put medicine into containers that could be mistaken for something else; throw away old medication – expired medication is dangerous and can cause harm; and don’t store medication along with food household products.
