Did you know that eating fibre-rich foods regularly can help prevent heart disease?  

Scientific reviews show that the inclusion of wholegrains help decrease total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol levels, aside from being good for digestive health.

Wholegrains are unrefined grains which include the bran.  They include wholewheat products, barley (or stampkoring), corn, rye, oat bran and wild rice.

Include these foods in the following way:

• Enjoy barley, wild rice or corn with your protein at dinner time, or cold in a salad.
• Add oat bran into smoothies, regular cereal, or into soups and stews to thicken them.
