The budget, health insurance, Greenpeace and Oscar

Cigarettes are going up, alcohol is going up and, of course, petrol is going up.

And while we're talking about rising prices, let's have a look at the topic of health from a financial perspective.

The good news from the budget is that there’s R150 billion going towards fixing the local health system.

Unfortunately, this pales in comparison to the R700 billion earmarked for the government’s energy policy. Greenpeace has warned that much of this money is going towards projects that are inefficient, expensive and bad for the environment.
