Is your job affecting your hearing? It has been found that workers in factories, mines and construction, as well as heavy industry, are especially at risk of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL).

NIHL can also affect police and military personnel who are exposed to the sound of gunshots and explosions.

It also affects musicians and entertainment industry professionals. Rock and jazz musicians show high levels of hearing loss, as do musicians in the field of classical music.

Find out how this happens, what the warning signs are and what to do about it.
