If your HIV treatment regime includes indinavir (Crixivan) it is important to take the medication with a low fat meal or one to two hours after your meal as fat hinders the absorption of the medication.

Also, ensure you drink at least six glasses of water throughout the day to reduce the risk of kidney stones forming – a common side effect of indinavir.
