A congested nose and persistent cough can often be relieved by taking a hot shower. The steam helps clear congestion and eases your cough by moistening a dry throat.

Alternatively, pour boiling water into a bowl, cover your head and inhale the steam. Don’t get to close, though, as the hot steam may burn your face.
